September 13.
We awoke to bad news from home: Crispin was taken to the emergency vet overnight. As the day unfolded, tests revealed a mass on his spleen, but no hemorrhaging. He was hydrated and treated for pain. He should be able to go home with Kimberly tonight. But the future is cloudy, it seems.
We ate breakfast and finally got on our way, driving north towards the national park. First to the edge of the park and a short, but sort of steep climb, for an overview of a lake and the ocean.
Before entering the park, we ate a nice lunch.
Then on to a longer hike to Middle Head, a point jutting out into the water behind the Keltic Lodge.
Lastly, a quick look at a waterfall not far off the road before turning around and heading 'home.'
A quick supper before some lively ping pong.
